Mosquito bites are itching even after I returned from holiday 2 weeks?
ago… I was bitten a number of times whilst in Mauritius and although the bites are almost healed, the area around them is itching like mad… still.. even though I returned two weeks ago.. is this normal?
thanks for the answers so far … the itching is driving me to distraction and I’musing an allergy creme to no avail…

It is normal. Resist the urge to scratch and you’ll be fine. I had a mosquito bite about 2 months ago, travelled and back. It is now almost gone, and no itching. But it used to itch like hell before. Try rubbing with alcohol.

Anyone living in mauritius?
I’d like to know about Rupees. I’m a south-African going to Mauritius on the 23 of may and I don’t know what the cost of things are there. Our South-African Rand is equivilent to almost 4 rupees. So, if I take R10 000 to mauritius, I’ll have MUR44 450,84. Is that alot? Could you tell me what a soda would cost? Just say for ex. MUR5 00 for packet of chips. just an example. please help. I want to know what amount to take with to have a nice holiday.
Hi. I think my question is a bit misleading. I need prices in Rupees on various items, please give my about 10 different examples like the ones Vinay K gave me. I’m not going to buy jewelery or suvinirs or whatever. I’m going to do scuba, sightseeing, glassbottom boat trips, to clubs etc. I know the booze and cigarettes are expensive(taking my own). I’m just scared I don’t take enough.

10000 ZAR is perfect, a glimpse of the prices here: 2 lt coca cola: Rs 30.00, Kit Kat chocolate (2 barres) 13-14 rupees, T Shirts (depending on the brand) around Rs 200. Dholl Purry (Indian Pancakes) Rs 7.00, Chinese Fried rice around Rs 80.00, cigarettes (state express 555) Rs 80.00 packet of 20, bottle of water: 1.5 lt around Rs 10.00; a regular meal at Mac Do: around Rs 100.00, @ KFC: Rs 80.00, meeting Mauritians and the souvenirs: priceless!!

holiday destination where you..?
Looking for a holiday destination where you accomodation is down a wooden path that leads into the sea ….like a wooden cabin out in the sea .The only access would be via this walkway . when you wake in the moring and look out you can just dive in …..where is this ? any ideas ? My partner has seen it somewhere and would love to go but we cant find more detail he thought it was mauritius

Holiday Choice HELP!!?
I cannot decide where to go for my 4 year wedding anniversary. I am stuck between Hawaii or Mauritius, they both look beautiful and they seem to cost round about the same. (UK £) So some help would be much appreciated.

Hi, I dont know personally, but there are 2 excellent websites to check out before you decide. Virtual tourist.com and holidays-uncovered.co.uk. Both give you first hand info and knowledge about the area you want to visit. The latter website is great because you can find your hotel and resort and check out the reviews by people who have been there before.
